Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hung is General Secretary, Member of the Council of Vietnam Banks Association. He was born in 1960, in Hanoi, has a doctorate in economics, a bachelor’s degree in banking, with nearly 40 years of experience in banking and finance. After many years of working with Agribank, experienced many different positions such as Head of Credit Department, Director of Agribank Hanoi, Deputy General Director of Agribank. In 2014, he was trusted by the Governor of the State Bank to hold the position of Chairman of the Members’ Council of Vietnam Asset Management Company Limited (VAMC). During the time leading VAMC, he made an active contribution to the settlement of bad debts before being appointed Director of the Credit Department of Economic Sectors of the State Bank from January 1, 2017.
In 2020, he was elected by the members of the Association of Banks as a member of the Council of the Vietnam Bankers Association, term VII and assumed the position of General Secretary.
