| BIOGRAPHY
Hung, Ph.D., received his Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence from Keio University, Yokohama, Japan, in 2014. He continued as a postdoctoral researcher at the same university before joining FPT Software Japan in 2015. There, he established and developed the AI business unit and capabilities for FPT. His AI team successfully delivered over 300 projects across various domains, primarily for Japanese clients. These projects included image inspection, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), medical image processing, ontology, and LLM (Large Language Model) applications, among others. Hung has presented at leading conferences on computer vision and artificial intelligence and holds a granted patent in Japan.
Hung, Ph.D., also served as the Director of the AI Camera Development Division and Business Director at VinBrain from 2021 to 2022. Under his leadership, VinBrain became a leading AI camera solution provider in Vietnam, deploying over 11,000 AI camera software units across Vinhomes urban areas. During this period, he published three papers in prestigious conferences, including BMVC, FG, and ICASSP. VinBrain is now part of NVIDIA.
Currently, Hung, Ph.D., serves as the Director of the AI Center at VPBank, where he focuses on accelerating the adoption of LLMs and AI agents to generate new revenue streams, enhance customer experience, streamline and optimize internal operations, and drive efficiency and profitability for VPBank.
