Mr. Nguyen Viet Ha

With over eighteen years of experience in the ICT industry, he has held various positions, including security engineer responsible for implementing both commercial and open-source security solutions, penetration tester conducting IT infrastructure assessments, and team leader managing a security team that provides services to customers. He has also served as a project manager for complex IT projects, such as mergers and acquisitions for banks and building ICT strategies for financial institutions. His leadership extended to roles such as managing an IT center.

His work experience spans diverse environments, including one of the largest Vietnamese system integrators, serving clients across sectors like banking, financial services, insurance, government, and telecommunications. He has also worked for a Vietnamese commercial bank focusing on SMEs and retail, led a team in a merger and acquisition project between a local bank and a finance company, and provided freelance consulting on security for organizations like EVN, VTV, and units of the Ministry of Public Security.

Currently, as the Director of Information Security at Techcombank, he has made significant contributions to the secure design, deployment, and operation of Techcombank’s cloud infrastructure, aligning it with international cloud standards. As the Security Workstream Leader, he has also played a key role in building cloud security capacity within the bank. In addition to IT-S2 responsibilities, he actively contributes to major information security initiatives, ensuring that Techcombank maintains an up-to-date and consistent security roadmap, architecture, and standards, with all security programs being released on schedule.
